Poteau Mt. Trim and Ride March 15thFebruary 16, 2008 @ 10:53am
I am setting up a work day at Poteau mt.(this is in arkansas) We will work from 8:30-lunch(around 1) and then ride the rest of the day.

What do I need to be prepared for?
Group 1: Trimming
This group will run down the trail and start trimming the trees back.
I will also give everyone in this group a trash bag in case you come across small trash.
Group 2: Trash Guys
This group will be removing big trash from the trails.
Our main objectives will be a wood burning stove, refrigerator, AC unit and the cleanup of a deer camp. I would like to have a SXS for this group. we will bring our tractor but it is slow to use it for all pickup.

at 12:30-1 we will have lunch at the bluffs(if someone will bring a grill and grill I will supply the burgers, franks, and all the stuff that goes with) After that we will ride the mountain until we are ready to go. If there is enough interest for camping we can have an overnighter and wake up the next day and drive to Fourche or Sugar Creek trail system to do some more riding.

The FS has given me the ok to start working this area. They offered to pick up the trash if we bring it out of the woods. The Ouachitas have not really seen OHV groups support on trail maintenance and repair so lets give them a good 1st impression.

That place looks cool Chris. How many trails/miles. Is it just primative camping there?
