What is your favorite front tire I hear that our beloved S-12 is now made in Tiland and quality went to crap as a result, they use to be made in spain. What are yall using Dunlop 756, Brigestone 403, Kenda, Maxxis, Sakura, Pirreli? And how bad is the Tiland S-12?

The last time I bought a front tire was in 2002! All the tires I use to like are gone and new models have taken their place. The s-12 was great and I also liked the bridgestone soft tire but I don't remember the model #. The 450 I bought has new Maxxis on it and they seem to be fine. Doug has them in stock if you want to see them.

Ive been getting great feed back from the Shinko tires too. I prob sell more Shinko than Maxxis. Zac Devro loves them. They are a little cheaper too.

The quality of the S12 has not changed at all due to the new location. They relocated the manufacturing facility that's all. Same rubber compound, same molding technology just different employees. Michelin is still the best quality running. I have ran the Shinko tire for about a year and a half now and have ridden in every type of terrain from the mountains of Idaho, Moab(Slick Rock)Utah, way up in the mountains of Colorado at Taylor Park and about everywhere around here. They have performed flawlessly for me. Before that I had on some 756s, day and night difference to me. By the way I have the same set on that I ran at the above mentioned places. I am not a crazy-aggressive rider but I am on a torqy 4-stroke and I have pushed it through some very rocky/knarly terrain. I will put on a new rear during the holiday break. I will leave the used one at Doug's so you can see how it has held up through all of that riding. Just my 2 cents and I see what is going on out there every day, not just "hear-say". I also installed the Fly Heavy Duty tubes and have never had one flat or leak at all.

I've only about 20 miles on my Shinko front that I got from Doug at Doug's Off-Road Cycle.
So far I think I really like it.

Now I have about 175 miles on my Shinko front and I can testify that this tire really works!
I'll buy another when this one is gone.

Just go by Doug's and pick one up.

Glad to hear it devro. It is good to get the feedback from riders that have "done the time" so to speak. I have heard nothing but positive results from all sorts of terrain across the US. It is just catching on a little slower here in Ar. The unfamiliar name is the main reason. Shinko, when said, gets some people in the mind set of Cheng Shin type quality and Shinko is at a whole different level.

Too many hobby's too little time. I have also had to cut and split a lot of firewood. I will be out at brock the 19 and maybe I will camp and ride the 20th. I better get out and make sure I still know how to ride between now and then.
