| Ol' Crow | August 6, 2008 @ 7:52pm | Hello, I would like to know where Ol' Crow is located on Crow Mtn. I used to own land on Crow but that was years ago. Thank You! Larry Haney www.jrvintagecycles.com |

| Old Crow Flyer & VJMC Convention | August 7, 2008 @ 7:33pm | Thanx for the Old Crow race flyer. I will post them in my shop. Also, Has anyone heard about the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club convention to be held in Heber Springs at the Comfort Inn on Sept 5&6. Is supposed to be pretty big. I am going to both events.(When will I get the chance again?). Jolly Roger |

Too bad the two events clash, I'd like to go see a bunch of old jap bikes. Might even be in the market for one.

| Vintage Bikes | August 8, 2008 @ 10:02pm | I hope to be there and meet everyone(Especially if you like vintage cycles). I think that the vintage class will grow. People come into my shop and say "I had that bike when I was a kid". I have a piece of their youth and it's nice to hear all of the stories. I didn't have a bike in my youth(Age-55) but I have them now. I would rather have a museum than a shop. In my opinion, the newer bikes('80's +) are very nice but will never be classics. Thanx Much! | vintage bikes | August 9, 2008 @ 12:02am | | My favorite is 1974 yz 250. It was only missing rebound in rear shocks. I have Laynes cz 250 but rode Montesas in the early 70s. They were fast but had a short fuse and some handling problems. The old Maicos were copied by Honda, great steering. |

| August 9, 2008 @ 2:13am | Larry,
Maybe you would be interested in sponsoring the awards for the fastest Vintage bike lap and the fastest Post Vintage bike lap. Get your shop a little press with the vintage crowd.
Gorman. When I get out of here I plan to freshen up my '74 YZ 250, my '74 CR 250, the Penton.....hope I live long enough to see them happy and shiny and dirty. Olihins makes some good shocks so the rebound should not be a problem. Besides the Thermo Flows are long gone.

| August 9, 2008 @ 10:48pm | JR, Be careful. Pete "da Prez" has more dead stuff lurking in his sheds then most "right" people are accosustomed to. It's like visiting an Alfred Hitchcock movie plot.
On the positive side: I think Pete is more futuristic than most of us. He got me interested in a street legal dirt bike a few years ago and now he's got me interested in a 40 year old bike to maybe race! |
